Indie Rockers rallying for Zohran. Proceeds will be split between New Yorkers for Lower Costs (the official Zohran Mamdani support PAC), NYC Migrant Solidarity, and the Sameer Project. The show will include voting registration and volunteering sign up opportunities.

Rhea Karam Book Launch

Perrotin Bookstore, Soho

Rhea Karam is a Lebanese visual artist whose work explores memory, urban landscapes, and the traces people leave behind. Using photography, installation, and mixed media, she captures the tension between personal history and collective space. Her book launch will take place during the opening of a new show featuring Sophie Calle, Monica Al Qatari and Leslie Hewitt.

Yasmin Khan: Sabzi

Half Iranian, half Pakistani, and raised in London, Yasmin Khan turns cookbooks into narratives, blending vibrant Persian and Palestinian culinary traditions with empathy, activism, and rich storytelling. Her latest work, Sabzi (named after the Persian word for “herbs”), offers more than 80 accessible, plant-forward recipes that celebrate flavor, culture, and connection.

Prinkipo is a NYC based band with Turkish origins celebrating the rich musical traditions of Türkiye, Greece, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The Band will be performing timeless Turkish and Greek songs rooted in Rebetiko and Fasıl traditions, full of passion, nostalgia, and rhythm.

Storytime w/ Jenan Matari: Everything Grows in Jiddo's Garden

Everything Grows in Jiddo’s Garden is the story of a young Palestinian girl and her Jiddo, her Grandpa. Jenan is a Palestinian American writer who gained notoriety through social media.

Comedy Show Ft Eman Morgan

A show produced and curated by the artist Mina Cheon featuring Jonah Bowen, Bangladeshi Naveed Mahbub, Egyptian-American Eman Morgan, and Korean-American Peter S. Kim. A special lineup of emerging comedians will open the event, including comedians Alex Kim, John Bent, Ryan Chazie, Yatin, and Adam Thomas.

A writing workshop led by poet and writer Maha Hashwi, welcoming both seasoned writers and complete beginners. On September 20, the session will be co-led by Sarah Khatami, an Iranian-American singer, artist, and a mega babe.

An afternoon of music, storytelling, and community honoring the vital role immigrants play in New York City’s past, present, and future. It features a lineup of artists, faith leaders and civil servants reading stories of immigration and belonging in NYC.

Palestinian-American blind oud player Ameer Armaly, along with Sarah Mueller and Angie Assal, for an evocative afternoon of Arabic music. The program highlights classical instrumental forms such as the samai and longa, whose origins trace back to the Ottoman era, as well as vocal forms like the muwashah, a richly structured poetic and musical tradition that dates as far back as Andalusia, balancing traditional performance and improvisation.

Full Moon Kemetic Yoga Ceremony

Kemetic Yoga is a holistic system inspired by ancient Egypt, drawing on hieroglyphic imagery and temple postures. Its focus on breathwork, geometric alignment, and spiritual development aims to unite body, mind, and spirit. Full Moon Kemetic Yoga sessions use that same foundation of posture and breath, deepened by the lunar phase’s ritual energy. These gatherings often involve intention-setting and the release of what no longer serves you.

Join Falsa and Mehrnam Rastegari for an intimate night of transcendent, ancestral sound. Falsa’s music draws from centuries of poetic Sufi mysticism, layered with transcultural improvisation, and Mehrnam Rastegari’s trio weaves textures from Persian classical tradition and psychedelic rock soundscapes - a shimmer of memory, briefly held then set free.

one-on-one conversation between newly elected National Academicians, artist Diana Al-Hadid and architect Nader Tehrani, as they discuss their methods of working, material concerns, and aesthetic propositions. The program will open with each presenting the other’s work, leading into a dialogue on the process behind creating moments of engagement that transcend the everyday.
